Good afternoon collegeas,
Does somebody know what a dip pipe with entry from the bottom of a vessel (stops just below the top of the tank) is called?
Thanks in advance for Your replies.
PED question:
C1 up to C4 is classified under gases.
When I fill in the design temp. of -110 deg C. for eg. ethylene I come up with a vapourpressure of 0 barg,
so this should be a liquid acc. calculation.
The classification 'gas' , is it because I should take the design temp. ambient?
Dear collegaes,
Is there a manufacturer that has a good solution for providing pipeguides on horizontal U or anglesteel? (NO HOTWORK)
Sometimes someone provided this type of steel (wrongly) instead of IPE or HE beams.
Thank You for Your support in advance.
Just saw something new;
guys here invented various corr. all. in one spec.
up to dn65 0,5mm ; up to dn65 1mm ; up to dn300 1,5mm,
Is it acceptable that small bores should be replaced more often in the same pipeline?
I should think it's not very practable.
Cracks, What's your opinion?
Dear collegues, someone proposed to locate pumps for loading and unloading inside the tankfarm,
Personally I'm not enthusiastic, because of hazard and maintenance issues.
Like to know what my respected collegues here think about this idea,
NPSH becomes better, but one can select pumps that are...
We have a pipespec. 1.4571 (316Ti) without a temp. range.
Is it possible to start the spec.with a min. temp of -50 deg C?
Thank You for Your time and effort.
Company wants to have a new undergr. firewatersystem.
Competitors accusing each other about the used resin.
How can we test the used resin of a pipe.
We want it to be epoxy.
Send it to a lab? If yes; whitch lab in W-Europe?
Some help greatly obliged.
Our company is designing loading stations for trucks.
What is the designforce of a safety belt for a person attached to the structure underneath the roof?
And is it specified in a code?

Hello dear collegues,
Is there someone out there with a reference to a table of pipespans for HDPE pipelines?
My googling skills are appently not sufficient.
Thanks in advance.

Hello you all,
I have a question about tagging pumps on PID.
In a plant built by Lummus the pumps are tagged:GA-xxx
(where xxx stands for a number).
What does the abbreviation 'GA' stands for ?
Anybody knows?
Thanks in advance
Hello You cracks out there.
I,m thrown in a new area.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Maybe I didn't read the code entirely,
but can someone explain what units to use in Part2 304.1.2

What units do I use for P,D?
Practical problem, (I’ve got no processdata, repeatedly get no answer from our process dept);
The situation is as follows:
I got the holedia from an orifice that has to be mounted in a ventline from a tank,
suppose it has something to do with filling of the tank (gaslosses).

We want to lay an underground pipeline from a nat. gas metering station to a turbine on site.
What material and possible coating should be applied?

I know there are very experienced guys amongst you,
I want to know what you think about using pipeshoes on uninsulated lines in steel pipebridges.
I tried to search former threads but couldn't find it.
Your insight would be very appreciated.
Is it possible to perform a water pressure test on a pipeline without vents and drains?
How do you get the water on highest points?
I know it´s an odd question but the company I work doesn´t want any assessoires on the pipelines, not even flangeconnections(except on pumps and other mech. items.)...
I have to route a 6” CS pipe underground, then above ground connected to a ss 316L pipe, do I need an insulation flange for this connection?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
