am working in a presentation for the technician in my company for jeavons J125 S5 ,IGA and Dresser regulators
and the main idea is to teach them the theory of operation, and how to set it.
so i tried to check each company website but i coudlt find any theory of operation, the most helpful...
in our network of natural gas. 4 of our slam shut in 4 diff. regulators got closed in the same time they are in the same loop. and we don't have a reason of the increase of the pressure which cause the closure!!
we tested the settings and it was ok.
any advice?

i need to know exactly how to calculate volume (to know the the time it will take till the pipe line will be empty)
for PRESSURIZED natural gas.
i was using Volume X pressure ( gauge pressure )
and then i have been told that i must use the absolute pressure.
please advice.
