I am trying to model a bonding pattern on an anvil roll. The pattern does not just repeat where a circular pattern creates the part. The pattern in in a helical pattern. I have modeled the part using Solid edge and the link is a screen shot of the part. The Part in edge is cumbersome to work...
How do you stretch a sketch?
I do not want to scale the whole sketch I just want it stretched in the x direction by 1.5%.
The only way that I can find to do this is to compute the angle and then project the sketch onto another plane, after that pull the sketch off of the tilted plane and put...
In masterCam we could take a flattened pattern and rap it around at a set R, It would then let us write the tool code to mill out the part off of the flat. We now have NX to do our tool code. Is there a way to have it rap the flattened patteren around a cylinder.
This is like taking a rubber...
We have a part file for a die roll; we are looking for a way to have the roll un-rolled. for a math explanation, if you were to plot the space our roll occupies in cylindrical coordinates (r, theta, h), rather than using a conversion we would want the direct output, r=x, theta=y, h=z. this...
Hello,
I am trying to figure out a way to do this one way or the other.
I have a roller die that has some complex geometry on it, I am trying to find a way to model the die and produce a flat pattern of the die as well.
I currently need to build a full model of the die as if I unrolled it off...
