Location of parking structure: San Jose CA
I am wondering what seismic catagory to use for the ramp structures (helix and kind of ramp bridge type structure) to the main parking buildings.
Do i have to design as Building structures or non-building for the seismic consideration?
I am a bridge engineer. I somehow have to design CIP two-way slabs for a part of parking structure in San Jose. I have CA PE, but I never designed anything about building with seismic load, because I am working in Arizona and did only bridges for a living.
