NX 7.5 What would be the fastest way to merge the rectangular end cap onto the the rectangular tube using assembly constraints? there must be a shortcut from the way I do it now. (the cap ID is slightly smaller than the tube)

Our company opted not to buy the step translator for Catia. When I import Iges files all I get is trimmed surfaces. any ideas on how to get solids into CatiaV5 R18?

NX 7.5.2.5 The iges files I create to export to Catia V5 R18 come in as trimmed sheet bodies, not unparamaterized solids. The Step file translator for Catia isn't an option as the company won't purchase it for Catia.

So far the best translation simply gives me a large 2D sheet with no independent views or much 3D. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the program or would have any suggestions?

I am having trouble with step files imported into UG from Pro-E having their faces divided into 2 faces. This makes it impossible to do a resize faces and is just annoying in general. Is anyone else having this problem, and can it be fixed somehow?
