Is calling out SPCC on my drawing same as CRS1018? They are both cold rolled steel right? So is CRS 1018 more specific compared to SPCC?
Could some one help me to exactly differentiate between these material call outs?

I am having problems with a complicated solid model that I am trying to automesh. It is a big assembly and one of the parts gets flagged as it was not successfully surface meshed. However this part is able to solid mesh without any hassles.

If I have a beam whose cross section is a trapezium, how would I get an equivalent beam whose csa is a rectangle?
Would the two beams be equated for max. stress, or just moment of inertia ?

How can I cound the total number of nodes/elements in my model before I run it? I have a meshed model which I would like to inquire "model statistics" on, but this option can be viewed only in the results pane. I dont have any results as I have not run the model yet...

I am trying to recover stresses for upto 20modes. Transient stress does not seem to have an option for inertia loading. My load is an impact load. When I enter a load curve (f-t)and ask it to recover modes from previous run, it calculates 0 stresses.

Does it make sense to call out a perpendicularity and surface profile for the same feature w.r.t the same datum? Doesnt one serve to tighten/negate the other?
If my understanding is right, if I have a 3d curved surface whose every point must be located within parallel planes (tolerance zone)...
