I have a fence that has stainless cables and connectors that attach to galvanized fence posts and chain link fabric. Is this a problem? I know you aren't supposed to mix these two, but its just a fence. Thanks.

I am working on a cantilever retaining wall that has seismic loading that was provided by the Geotech. Looking at stability and the load combination 0.6D+0.7E+H from ASCE7, is it appropriate to reduce E and H by the same amount that D is since they are both functions of D?
If the threads of the rod at least extend through the turnbuckle, is it safe to assume the tensile capacity of the rod will control design? By inspection it appears that the turnbuckle body has more steel than the rod. If not, are there published design values for these things? Thanks.
