    sizing DC contactor?

    What factors do i need to take into consideration when switching 270VDC @ 3amps? For a DC motor application, do i need to spec out a DC contactor or can i just derate an AC contactor? If that is possible, where can i find a derate table? Thanks in advance!!!!

    Fuse or ground one leg of 230VAC???

    If i had a standard 460 to 230VAC 60hz transformer, do i need to fuse both legs of the secondary 230VAC or am i suppose to just fuse one leg and ground the other. What does NEC specify?
