    seismic joint gap for steel building

    Hello to everyone. Does anyone know what is the maximum length/width ratio for a single-storey steel building above which we should place a seismic joint gap to seperate the building into parts ? If you could give me a code reference i would really appreciate it. I use EC3 and EC8.

    Assigning Loads To Frames

    I want to run a space frame with and i dont know how to apply uniform loads on the beams.i used rectangular shell elements with very very small bending thickness (0,000000001.Are the uniform loads assigned correctly to the beams this way
