assembly and make new item for everything inside.
I need that all wave links and drawings links are intact.
What is correct way to do it?

I don't understand behavior of NX when inserting part/assemblies in another assembly.
I create a part and hide sketches manually, set the colors the way I want, define the reference set
MODEL and save part.
Then create assembly with some sketches for reference no solid bodies, create parts...
NX8.5, when placing coincidence constrain in sketch, first selection is end of curve and is OK, but for selection of other end curve, I cannot select any curve endpoint in the same sketch. Is this some known bug? or I'm missing something.

I've been away from catia for about a year, and now I'm coming back but I need a new PC... I was thinking of HP 8730W mobile workstation.
Does somebody have experience with this laptop?, I will use it for assemblies of cca. 200-250 MB.

Hi,
We have made the transition to V5R17 Service Pack 3, HotFix 19, 64bit... and Catia does not recognize my Space Explorer (with latest drivers V3.4.2).
On the same machine I still have V5R16, 32bit, and with this version is working fine.
Somebody had the same problems?
Is it possible to insert products in a catalog, and if somebody can explain to me what does RESOLVE A PART FAMILY mean, also what are the pros and cons of resolved parts?

I would like to put inside one of mine subproducts new component, which will contain only screws ( for better tree visualization ). In order to position these screws I have to make this component flexible, but then I lose the update of reused patterns in my product, this is documented in on-line...

catia dosen't update te instance name, but leaves the old instance.

I have a part (R14) that after using SMARTVOLUME in one formula I receive below message, (only the first time that I open this part in session).
Formula is very simple smartvolume(pad), so I think that shouldn't be any errors in the formula.

I have used plane from part1 in part2, therefore I cannot use any more sketch from part2 into part1.

I'm trying to open the main CATProduct which is made of sub CATProducts and CATParts... V5R14 SP5 HFix15
Catia starts to load the files, and after some 30% pops up the window with text in Title bar "A CHECK ON DATA WILL BE LAUNCHED ON ACTIVE DOCUMENT" and text saying "COMMAND INTERUPTED"...
I've noticed that when I made front view of V4 model imported to V5 via 'paste special' some contour lines are missing,
and when I make the same front view directly from V4 model everything is fine.
I'm using R14, is this a known bug?
