MIL-A-8625F type II class 2... allows Sodium Dichromate as a sealer. I've heard that this has Cr6 in it and therefore not RoHS compliant, is that true?
We have a flat rectangle, 30mm W x 96mm L x 4 mm H that we need to manufacture in high production quantities, ~100k/year that needs to have a flatness on the 30x96 face of 0.005mm.
Chemical resistance is not a high requirement.
Operating temperatures are in the 25dC +/- 5dC range with a...
If my primary dimensions are in MM and my secondary dimensions are INCHES in dual dimensioning, if I have a tolerance of 0.05mm it shows as 0.001" instead of rounding up to 0.002". Is there a way to fix this?
Z-Clipping: I've only found the check box in model view parameters that is not flexible at all. What happened to the more flexible version from ProE2001?
Hide Lines: In ProE2001 you could Modify a View and select specific geometry lines to hide but I can't find this in WF2.
I've tried the...
Hi all, I'm back to ProE after taking a hiatus at another company that used SolidWorks, bleech! heh, hey, I've forgotten the operands for Filters in Repear Regions... would someone please point me in the right direction to see a listing of how to use Filters? Gracias!
I'm using XP2 Pro and INTRALINK 3.3 and found that I can set the default user via the user environment variable:
INTRALINK_DEFAULT_USER
but I haven't been able to get the password to work:
INTRALINK_DEFAULT_PASSWORD
Is that the correct environment variable or is it no longer working with...
Hi, I'm trying to install WF2 (M180) on a Win XP Pro system and I've run into something I've never seen before. When I run PTCsetup it says it can't see any FLEXlm licenses at the server/port specified. But, afterwards if I run ptcstatus.bat it shows the server and all available/used licenses...
Hi, I'm picking up a design from another engineer. He selected Delrin 500 AL as a bushing material and a medium carbon steel, hardened and then zinc plated for corrosion resistance. Of course, the zinc plating is abrading.
I was thinking of switching to a 304 SS for the shaft material but...
I keep getting the message when I open an assembly that one or more components are in a rolled-back state and if I wish to roll them forward.
I haven't been able to locate the rolled-back parts to keep from getting that message.
Does anyone know of a quick way to find them?
Thanks,
Soil
I get tired of clicking, "Don't ask me again" when opening up an assembly on a fresh start of SW2007 or switching to an assembly whose parts have changed every new session of SW2007.
I've looked for options to tell it to ALWAYS regenerate and to always roll forward, etc... but haven't found...
I'm considering a part made of either brass or oilite bronze. I'd prefer to use bronze but have never seen it knurled. I know that brass knurls well... Does the Tin content cause any issues with knurling of oilite bronze? Does the sintered construction create any issues for knurling?
Thanks...
Hi,
We have a clear acrylic (DR modified) cover that has some thin edges that are cracking. We have a signficant number of them that need to be repaired or we lose a bunch of $ in scrap.
Are there any compounds that are recommended for reinforcing the acryic?
Thanks,
Soil
PDMWorks really needs a way to sort documents in it's explorer views by vault status. When you have 100, 200+ parts in a folder and you have to scroll through to see which ones have changed so you can reload the ones you didn't intend to, etc. it's very easy to miss them. This is a feature...
Hey all, back in 2006 PDMWorks had a standalone client that would show the status of the files in your Workgroup folder versus the Vault. However, now in Solidworks Explorer (SWE) with 2007 this isn't available. I'd like to turn this on if it's available. I do see PDMWorks options in the SWE...
Hi guys,
I'm the PDMWorks admin but don't know squat about toolbox... doh!
Anyhow, when I try to drag a cap screw into my assembly it tells me that someone else is modifying it so I can't do it. Then I found if I right-click on the component in Toolbox and select "Insert into Assembly" it...
I was trying to find a used version of Pro/E, say ProE2001 and if someone was willing to sell it used, would PTC be willing to redo the license file for my server?
Also, I wondered if PTC would require me to pay maintenance for at least a year in order to allow me to do this... true?
Anyone...
Hi all, I have a FireGL V3100 and when I rotate a fairly simple sheet metal part, non-imported, it maxes out my CPU?!?!
SW2007, SP2.0
1GB ram
Display Drivers, approved
Any ideas why this is happening?
Guys & Gals, I've poked around and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for... so I hope you don't mind me asking here. Here's a quick history:
1) We have Toolbox SW2006 installed on a network drive and it is shared. No issues in SW2006.
2) When we upgraded a couple of stations to SW2007 we...
