Dear sirs,
We would like to use stock tubes SA334 Gr.6 in a HE with design low temperature -46°C but in the certificate there isn't the value of impact test.
Is it mandatory to write in the certificate the values of impact test? Shall we use these tubes without any problem?
Another question...
Heat exchanger ASME CODE (no U stamp)
Can I use a plate (SA516Gr60) to machine a shell/channel flange?
For a welding neck type? And for a loose type?
Where is forbidden? ASME VIIIdiv1?
Thank you all.
Head:
material: SB127 UNS N04400
thk (after forming) > 6mm
ID: 305mm
Code: ASME (U stamp)
Question: after COLD forming, shall I need any heat treatment? Normalizing? Which temperature?
Where I can find some information?
Thank you.

Dear All
As concern the materials A 266 Cl.1 and A 350 LF1 , you are kindly asked if according to ASME Code there are particular requirements for two times Post Weld Heat Treated materials.
Thank you for cooperation.
Does ASME require any marking on heat exchanger "main flanges" (head / shell flanges)?
I mean, shall we mark only the heat number or shall we mark material and dimension ?
We usually mark also our stamp, SN and item.
Thank you.
Here my problem.
I have to expand the tubes into tubesheet by rolling
Tubesheet: 304L (holes 25.69mm)
Tubes: CuNi 90 10 (dia 25.4mm x wall 0.7 mm)
How much is the percent wall reduction?
We usually use this value:
Diameter of tube hole “df”
Outside diameter of tube “de”
Inside diameter of...
This is my first thread. Hi to everybody.
My question:
I need a flange made in uns n08904 but I can't find it in asme sa-182.
What is the right specification for uns N80904 forgings?
Thank you.
I use:
SA-240 for plates
SB-366 for fittings
SB-673 for welded pipe
SB-677 for seamless vpipe & tubes
