What is driving the price of 134A? Last year I bought a couple af cases for about $4.00-$5.00 a can. Today I got sticker shock from the parts store at 14.00 a can, and they said 20# tanks were $300. Is this price jump permanent, or just a short term shortage? Anybody have any reasons?

Ethylene glycol anti-freeze makes a good stop-leak for off-road tires. I assume it works by softening (or degrading)the rubber. Does anyone have any ideas how long it would be before the integrity of the carcass would be compromised?
