    Welding 321 with 316 consumable

    I was asked if you can I weld a pressure vessel made from 321 st/st with a 316l consumable. In my opinion I think you should be using 347 consumable. I know that 321 works to higher temperatures than 316l I think can anybody confirm this . Cheers

    If I am working to BS EN ISO 15614-6:2006 will a butt weld cover me for a socket weld in 70/30 cunifer.As the contract I am running a procedure for in a welder qual the welder has to do a butt weld and a socket weld test piece. The machanicals have to be 1 marco is this correwct. Cheers
