Difference between Methocel and Ethyl Cellulose?

Hi all. We are looking to purchase some Ethyl Cellulose to make a sample batch of hot melt coating. I have been quoted for Methocel, a Dow product. Is this the same? I also see they produce Ethocel, which certainly is the right stuff. So what is Methocel (methocel 311), is it the same? What is...

Difference between US 230VAC and UK 240VAC?

Hello, thanks to all who have answered previous posts, I appreciate it! We are looking at buying machinery rated at 230VAC in the US and 240VAC in the UK, what is the difference (apart from the obvious one!) between the systems? How similar is the actual power available from each, as the...

Converting 3 phase to 110/120v nightmare

Hi, our company uses a machine powered by US 3 phase mains/ generator (200...240VAC). In the UK we can power an auxilliary device that goes with the machine from the 400V, as the 3 phase is able to give a leg of normal mains power( with one live and neutral?)(240V). Is there a way to do this in...

Er...what 3 phase power circuit to install?

Hi, the company I work for needs to use some machinery in the US, it says it requires 208v 3 phase, I think it requires 32amps ( >40 max ). Should I specify that a 40A circuit is required? The building already has 3phase to it. Also, does the three phase give me 3 'normal' circuits to play with...
