Does anyone know how to anchor a part in an assembly after a step file conversion?
I've converted a vendor assembly from a step file and I'm trying to re-create constraints. However when I try mating two parts, both of the parts will move out in the workspace. I would like to anchor or fix one...
In NX3, is there a way to transfer seed part information to a converted .prt file from step? I've inherited hundreds of step files and I hate to add every layer and property from our company seed file after I convert them to .prt
I'm working several project on NX3 and NX4, due to client's request. However I'm seeing a difference in graphics performance with NX4 running better than NX3. Has anyone experienced a difference in performace between the two or do I need to adjust my graphics settings in NX3?

Everytime I convert a step file204 from UG to SW 2005 all the parts in the assembly and sub assembly remain unresolve. Is there a way to resolve them all at once. I tried resolving the top level, but it still leaves the rest unresolved.
Can someone recommend a user friendly PDM for NX3 and Solidworks environment?
I have ruled out Teamcenter and Smartteam due to the high cost. We are a small engineering company looking to control our 3D part models and drawings.
