In such case is a repair called and then proceed as per the repair procedure (and added to the repair rate) or is the repair welder authorized to grind open the missed edge, MPI and then manually fill out, followed by a pull of the line so that weld is in the AUT bay and the touch-up/weld repair...

Ignoring the obvious statement, i.e. an internally-lined pipe should not be subject to corrosion and therefore inspection pigging is superfluous, can anyone tell me the maximum thickness of inside lining for MFL pigging inspection. Has anyone any experience of this?

PWHT is approx 1 hour @ 650 deg Celsius on P1 (low carbon) steels. Is there a Code requirement (ASME/ANSI/API/EN/SNiP) that such NDT MUST be done after PWHT?
What do forum members think of a suggestion for NDT before PWHT only. If all unacceptable RT indications are repaired prior to stress...
Has anybody come across either of these methoods being used on AWS D1.1. structures, either alone or supported by Pulse-Echo? I dont have a copy of AWS D1.1 to hand - is there any mention of these methods in the spec?

We have air coolers on our plant (oil & gas) part of which consists of a row of 1 inch dia, 1,6 mm to 3,5 mm wall thickness duplex (22% Cr, UNS31803) tubes TIG welded with matching filler metal to an 8 inch duplex header (wt 11 - 18mm). Weld ferrite content range 35% - 65%.
