I just breakdown a spindle. On one side the grease (NBU 15) was white, which is the initial color, but on the other side, the grease turned yellow. Does someone know why? Overheating?

I just caught a signal with 1x to 30x rpm harmonics on a spindle. This is the first time I see that. I suspect that the spindle housing is loosened in its fit (this is a cartridge spindle). Have someone already seen this before?
