Does anyone know of a standard procedures manual or best practices document for Finite Element Analysis of aircraft structures? I have seen examples for cabin monuments and dynamic seats but are the any for airframe structures?
I wonder if this software making any in roads into the aviation market? It appears to be very strong in automotive area but most aviation companies I know are using NASTRAN.
Can anyone explain the definition of a ROD element in Nastran? I don't have access to this information and would like to understand the general properties and assumptions inherent to this type of element.
