    verification problem 1-009 RE: prestressing, bug?

    In this problem, apparently the prestressing force at both ends is not self-equilibrated. There should be some reactions at the supports under this prestressing load case only. Sap gives 0 reaction. I think this is a bug.

    In steady-state dynamic analysis, there is a deformation response factor Rd which is defined as ratio of amplitude to static deformation;and Ra , ratio of amplitude of acceleration to acceleration due to force p0 acting on mass m. My question is : is there any physical explanation for Rv? Thanks
