    external threads

    vgroove on a curved surface

    holes along a curved surface

I am new to solidworks, having worked with Autocad for about 15years. I have been reading guide books learning this thing. How do I put holes into a shaft on the circumference 108 degrees apart about half an inch from the end? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
