I have been reading quite a few messages on here and everyone seems to be quite defensive about solidworks. I need to make a decision on which system to go with. I have been an autocad user for 15 years and would like to go 3-d. I have heard all of the rhetoric from both of the sales sides...
Is there any way to show cosmetic external threads on a part. Actually for that matter, how do I make external threads. Is there a thread wizard like hole wizard. Sorry for all of these questions, but I am just learning this thing. Thanks in advance for your help.
One other question, if anyone can help.
I am making a round part that is tapered. I need to make
8 v grooves along the tapered surface about 3/8 inch deep. The vgrooves are along the axial axis. Thanks in advance.
I am new to solidworks, having worked with Autocad for about 15years.
I have been reading guide books learning this thing.
How do I put holes into a shaft on the circumference 108 degrees apart about half an inch from the end?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
