COULD SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO CALCULATE HOW MUCH FORCE CAN A FRICTION CONE USING LINNING CAN TRANSMIT.
I HAVE A GEAR WITH A CLUTCH CONE FOR ENGAGING A DRUM AND I NEED TO KNOW IF THE TORQUE NEEDED FOR LIFTING A LOAD CAN BE TRANSMITTED THROUGH THIS FRICTION CONE.

COULD SOMEONE TELL ME IF AN ARRANGEMENT OF A DP 3 INVOLUTE 14 1/2 DEGREES GEAR WITH 106 TEETH AND A PINION OF 22 TEETH WOULD RESIST WORKING WITH A LOAD OF 10 TON. THE WIDTH OF THE GEAR IS 4 INCHES.
THIS GEAR WOULD ROTATE A DRUM FOR LIFTING.

Im trying to put together a planetary gear, i have a 14 teeth sun and 3 planetary gears (22 teeth), for the outer gear can somebody tell me how to calculate the no. of teeth and the ratio on the whole system. The gear is a dp 3
we are in need of a design for an axial flow aquaculture pump to deliver about 1500 lts/sec. on a total dynamic load of 18 ft.
