Any comments / help on selecting the best flowmeter that will be reliable in measuring the flue gas in a duct (15' x 15').
I am leaning towards the selection of the OFS-2000 (Optical Scintillation)and would like to get any feedback on it.

I am puzzled/confused on what whould be the best practice when wiring an instrument and its shield.
Is wiring the shield at BOTH ends better? Or wiring at the JB is enough. What are the implications of each method considering the RF and the ground loop error?

I am trying to understand how a float in a magnetic level gauge could sink -to the bottom of the chamber- due to an error on max fluid's specific gravity. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have a bore size of < 1", and as it's about a liquid service, I will need a Vent hole.
Vendor says that it's not faisable, since the bore size is <1". They can do it but it wont be ISA compliant.
ANy one knows any thing about it....and what exactly does ISA say about this issue.
