The specification tree disappeared from the desktop and F3 doesn't make it reappear. F3 makes scroll bars (left and bottom) visible/invisible but that's about it.
How do I fix this?

On my office machine the xy,yz and xz coordinate planes are always visible even when they are inside a part. Similarly, points, etc. are visible and selectable. On my laptop, they are hidden when they are inside a part.
How do I make them visible and selectable?
