I have to establish if it is sufficient the sampling for mechanical testing taken from one separate forged test blanks valid for Blind and Welding neck flanges 32" – 300 lb (normalised) or are necessary two different test blanks.

But the doubt is if the 32" size Blind Flange and 32" Welding Neck flange 300lb have the same hot working and reduction as to consent to take sampling for mech. test. from unique test blank.
Some studies have demonstrated that about 40% of Main Flanges in ASTM A105, despite the certificates, have not been treated properly after forging and that the transition temperature, with a mean impact toughness, of 27J is about + 20°C.
The question is how is possible that ANSI/ASME B16.34...
