I would apprecaite if someone could explain in simple and plain words how pressure compensation and load sensing works in variable displacement pumps.
I would request if you can use imaginary pressure and flow values to make it simple and clear to understand how the contorl works.

Does anyone uses a Excel Sheet for fluid power calcs on daily basis.
I was thinking to write one with unit conversion and basic pump/cylinder/motor calcs. I was just wondering if someone already has one, no point in reinventing the wheel :d
If anyone has one, would apprecaite if you can share...
Hey guys,
While browsing internet, i cam across this company VEST USA .....just wondering if someone can share their experience with Hydraw 405 on Autocad 2005 -2006.
Also this company sells 3D Models (Autodesk Inventor) of hydraulic components from Major OE;s such as parker, sun hydraulics...
We recently bought inventor to expand the design capabilities of the company.
I was just wondering if someone else is using the same program to create soild models of hydraulic components such as fittings, valves, catridge valves, manifolds, cylinders, motors, pumps etc ..
Any weblinks where i...
Any idea where i can find a recent study or report on:
Lastest and Future trends in Fluid power.
I am trying to compile a small report on the above tpoic.
Any published article , report of reder's view point would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

Any ideas and tips to make the reading of simple and complex hydraulic schematics easier??
I am new to the firled of hydraulics and struggling to read and infer hydraulic schematics.
thanks in advance
Simple situation:
I am operating a horizontal cylinder with a 4/3 Solenoid directional control valve. The cylinder is used to open (when retracting) or Close (when extending) a gate.
In the event of a power failure, i want the gate to be closed. But what if the cylinder was halfway through...
o make my query easy to understand, let’s assume a hypothetical situation:
I create a model of a part "A" and assign its drawing a number, say 001.
Now assume that over a period of 1 year this drawing (i.e. 001) is used in 5 different jobs J1, J2, J3, J4 and J5.
Also assume that the higher...
