When using "advanced machining" normally by default there is a tool path preview when you cursor over an operation on the tree. For some reason this preview has disappeared and we can't find how to get this function back.
Can anyone help us with this?

Anyone out there having problems getting TRACUT to work? This is a machining function that mirrors tool paths. I use it on a workstation that's running R16, but the same function will not work on the R17 SP7 station.

We're tapping in inch. Using advanced machining in R17. The problem is that the feed defaults to .039in (1mm)and can not be changed.
How can we go about changing this value?

Situation: I have a curved, CATIA V4, sheet metal type part (.063” thk). I’m using V5 sheet metal design and others.
I’m having no problems bringing the V4 into V5. copy….past…no prob.
I would like to know how to do 2 things:
1. Create a flat pattern for our router machines...
creating some holes in my part body. Catia is generating cylinders were the holes should be. The part body was created by using "closesurface". also the plane that i'm creating the holes on is an uneven surface.
I also tried creating the holes with boolean operations, this also didn't work...
One of the guys running the CMM in QA asked me if we could change the position of the x,y,z zero of the part. Apparently it's easier for them to work with. How could this be done?
