stellite coating on 17-4 PH
I'm working on a conveyor track that needs to be very strong (190ksi), wear resistent and corrosion resistant(located on a ships deck)... The two options I am thinking of are using 440C or using 17-4PH with a stellite coating. I'm concerned that the coating may crack and also create a galvanic...- CPless

Wear of Stainless steel against brass in corrosive environment
I'm trying to determine the best materials to use for an application that resemebles a chain in a track. The chain (designed like a bike chain) material will be under heavy loading (torsional) and will be riding in the track. I was thinking of using stainless steel (like 440C) for the track...- CPless
