In Catia v5 r17 how do i add a title block to my drawing?
Can i import one from say a dxf or dwg and save it as a catdrw
then use that as my title block? if so how
the more i search it seems like i may have to use Visual Basic
to make my border, is this true?

ok im trying to find a way to stream line our office
right now we have 4 stations
1 ibm unix box running catia v4 and v5
2 hp unix box's one running ideas and the other ugnx3
1 windows seat running pro-e and autocad
here is my question, we have metaphase for ford
and i know there are windows...
i have never had to print comment pages before
how do i go about printing them or finding them in my model

question one- why is it when i open a drawing i have to click the assembly navigator and reload the part because the box is unchecked.meaning the part isnt fully showing up y does it do this?
question 2- i need to break a dimension line there is an arrow head running over it and i need to break...
i keep hearing that ideas can read ug nx prt files and will include the history tree
i have attempeted this many times with no success
in ideas i can import the ug prt into ideas but its a dummy solid, i have also tried a .xpk file from ug to ideas and that wont work

the only thing that still gets me that they havent fixed in ug is the prefernces should be made like the tool bars so you can save your settings. in the preferences/object menu
you cant save what color you want your solids to show up or datums or lins or sheets
you have to do it for every file...

in one of my views i want to only show 3 of the 4 parts
how do i go about doing this

i thought the old way was to expand the view and blank the component u dont want shown. i tried this and it worked but
it also blanked it...
i know this is gonna sound retarded but how do i print in catia.i am having all kinds of problems just getting it to plot out in roll size can i get some help
