I have a material certificate of a Nickel-Iron-Chromium Alloy Plate (ASTM B 409-01, UNS N08811, incoloy 800HT) of thickness = 1 1/4 " (31,75 mm).
The problem is they are indicating annealing Temperature between 2012ºF and 2138 ºF (they do not specificate an unique temp.), but ASTM...
Why in SMAW process the maxium oscilation is 3 times the electrode diameter and in GMAW process is 8-9 times?
Ussually SMAW diameters: 2.5, 3.25, 4 and 5
Ussually GMAW diameters: 1.2
I think the answer is in ASME CODE (maybe IX), but I can not remember where
