We usually performe chemical cleanings to some equipments, like pumpes, piping, vessels, in a closed circuit usually with citric or phosphoric acid. I was told that the best way to know when to stop the cleaning (if visual inspection is not possible) was to do some total iron analysis. Is this...
I have several leakages on a long underground water piping (10") system.
The piping is burried 3 meters under and We are desperate to find all the leaks. To make it more dificult we do not know the exact location of the underground pipes.
Is there any European or US company that could do this...
What is the minimum thickness a flange (circular shape) has to have on a equipment to be used on a pressure test?
The data is:
inside diameter = 408 mm
diameter of flange = 580 mm
Pneumatic pressure test = 13.5 Bar
Material of Flange = A106 GrB (Carbon steel)
Thanks
Does anyone knows the formula for dimensioning the flanges thickness to blind the vessels for hydraulic tests?
The thickness is dependable of Test pressure and diameter of the circular flange.
Tks

I need to performe a pressure hydraulic test on a reactor vessel which has a diameter of aprox 3 meters and an opening on the top of about 1,5 m diameter long. The pressure test will be 30 bar.
I was thinking of installing a blind straight flange on the opening but i was told that the flange...
I checked a ventilator (100 kw - 960rpm) and obtained different values of vibration. Values go from 4 mm/s to 11 mm/s. The ventilator has 8 blades (2*4 blades, two on 0º, two on 90º, two on 180º and two more on 270º)
The spectrum returns only a peak near 64Hz which i presume to be from the...
