Hey guys,
After using nice parametric software for the past 5 years (Solid Edge), my new job uses Mechanical Desktop! It's like rewinding time!!
We model faceted, dumb solids in Mechanical Desktop and due to the Boolean system, we are able to use this solid model and 'explode' it into flat...
We have several part files of complicated chassis tubes with cut outs at angles to all three planes. For manufacturering purposes we have to present these in a dxf file of the flattened profile of the tube. (i.e. splitting the tube down the centreline and unrolling!)
We have found a way of...
hello,
Does anyone know how this works in detail?!?
I am trying to draw a rollcage, and i can input the 3d points of the intersection, but i'd like to create the complete wireframe first.
Firstly, can i fillet two centrelines like in a normal sketch?? this would let me use the end point of...
Hi
I'm using V17 Solid Edge, and i'd like to know if this is possible:
Can I get some 3D points in space and input them directly into 3D part. The way i'm doing it now is by extracting a parallel plane in one reference direction, then drawing a point in the other two reference directions...
I stupidly clicked the restore button on my parts, but the title bar is placed high up into the main window so i cannot click maximise again.
This is really annoying me, any ideas on how to maximise the window again?
Thanks
As above :p
So guys, is it possible, or would i need a third party piece of software?
We currently have Solid Edge v15 here as well, so could that be used for opening CATIA files?
Cheers
Alex
