I was wondering if anyone knows if a fluid that travels at sonic speeds in a pipe, or even supersonic speeds, maintain a constant flow rate, volume/time. If it does, can you please explain the mechanisms that it can. Also, I heard that steam, cannot be accelerated to speeds past Mach 1. If this...
Can anyone suggest a company or place to find where I could order a small capacity water boiler. I am working on a research project and I need a boiler that is pressure controlled that can produce steam with a range from 0-150 psi gauge. With a maximum capacity of 2 gallons.
I am using a precision needle valve to achieve superheated steam. I would like to drop the pressure from 100+ psi to 20 psi, but I do not know what clearence I need to allow at the throat to allow this pressure drop? Does anyone know an equation to solve this?
