    Ring around cosmetic thread in SW2004

    Whenever I draw a part with a cosmetic thread, such as a threaded hole in a square block, the software displays a black ring the same size as the major diameter of the thread.     Best way to 3D ID and OD threads in AutoCAD 2004?

    What is the easiest way to create OD and ID threads with AutoCAD2004? I have no problems with most 3D things, but have problems with this. I am somewhat new AutoCAD 3D. I have used SolidWorks for the most part. Thanks for any help that you might be able to provide! Jay
