Hi All,
Maybe a stupid question, but are there surface finish callouts for molded rubber parts? I know of the ARPM mold finishes F1 thru F4 but wasn't sure if that transferred to the molded part surface finish as well.
TIA,

Hi All,
Any idea who made this valve? It came in from the Aero Vintage Academy in France and they are asking us.

I have a friend who’s graduating BTI also known as Berks technical institute at the end of November and he is in the electrical program and has a GPA of 4.0. Does anyone know of any good electrical apprenticeship opportunities in the Lancaster/Ephrata PA area where he can apply?

Hi All,
Can anyone recommend reputable ones? Mainly round stock turning parts from 1/8" up to 3" Dia. Located in the NorthEast if that matters....

Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a plastic or range of plastics for use as a potable water commercial plumbing valve body / internals that can accept the stress of NPT connections and water pressures up to 200F @ 150 psig?
We were considering PVC, CPVC, PE, PEX, PE-RT, PP, SP, ABS, and 30%...
Hi All,
We're experiencing leaking pipes - mainly in the 304 SS material - at the threaded connections over time as the piping is exposed to thermal cycling between 338F and room temp daily.
We have tried Loctite 567, Rectorseal, X-Pando and MegaLoc sealants but all have eventually leaked...
Hi All,
NFPA 20 4.13.1.4 states “The valve shall provide sufficient water flow to prevent the pump from overheating when operating with no discharge”.
Does anyone know where I can find the equations or an online calculator to quantify the required flow for keeping an idling centrifugal pump...

Hi All,
We are currently using O1 anvils to crimp parts together which i know could leave iron deposits which defeats the passivation / EP.
We are considering switching to D2 but was wondering if there's a better choice?

Water changes from ~60F to 150 F every 5 minutes. After a month of cycling between hot and cold, the rig was disassembled and this growth was found. Manifold is Aluminum (2024, not anodized) and the device is 303 SS. Manifold images show before and after cleaning - a wire brush and CLR...

Hi All,
Looking for an automated machine that can paint a stripe on a 2” diameter pipe x 3” long via rotation 360 degrees.
Preferably automated so it can be loaded via a 3 jaw chuck and press a button while worker builds the next assembly.
TIA

Hi All,
We have 303 and 316SS parts that need to be assembled after passivation - one being a crimping operation. Is there any assembly guidelines we can follow so as not to damage the passivated surfaces - especially for the crimping operation?

Hi All,
We have been purchasing std plumbing fittings for years and now are starting to see loose burrs hanging off the machined threads in the cast tees, elbows, etc.
Is there a better source that can be used for higher quality fittings that comply to AS9100 FOD standards?
TIA

Is it ok to apply a few drops of Loctite 243 to the threads to help prevent loosening by vibration? Is there a better solution?
I don't want to interfere with the O-ring seal but need assurance it won't back out under vibration (RR locomotive).
TIA
