Is anyone here a Bombardier Transport Supplier? We do the train maintenance here and need access to the CATIA files occasionally so that we
can make field modifications. Does anyone know where to start the process? What is involved in getting setup correctly?

Has anyone been able to extract a V5 license remotely? currently our checkouts last only 30 days and it is a hassle to bring the machines back to the office. Can it be done thru VPN?

I'm using SWX 2009 sp3. it started suddenly and I can't find the option in the tools.
when I drag my sketch element itself (ex. line) it tries to produce a copy and gives me an error message after. but if I drag the point it works fine. how do you get back the classical behavior.

I'm Running V5 R17. I have my drawing template setup to imperial. All dimensions work fine until I create a Coordinate Dim or a Coordinate Hole Table. Then, the it generates a Metric Hole table. Anyone know how to convert the table into imperial?

Can CATIA V5 pattern a feature (or prefferably a part) along a 3D helix? other programs have curve driven patterns. What have some of you done as a workaround for this issue.

I'm trying to model a fender from the side panel (blue colored) but I'm not successful in creating it as the unfolded view is not right.

I have several questions about Volumes in V5 GSD. I understand that it is a closed skin. but that's all I know.
1)What is the logic (benefit) behind using them?
2)How do Volumes compare to Solids and Surfaces?
3)Are there users designers that use Volumes regularly?

Is the Deisgn Library included in the basic solidworks?
I have Solidworks Office and it contains it. but what if you had a lower or cheaper licence, does it still include it?

Is there an automatic helical gear generator for CATIA V5. There's a pretty powerful one in Autodesk Inventor, where you can input the data and it will generate your gear. I was wondering if any have come across a similar one for V5?
