    DC drive or AC drive?

    What are the an advantages/disadvantages of using a DC drive/DC motor combination vs. a sensorless vector AC drive/AC motor combination? I have a choice to use either combination on a system we are upgrading. Can anyone offer any opinions or advice? Thanks, Joey.
