    CMU Bond Beam Anchoring

    I have a 16" deep bond beam at the top of an 8" CMU bearing wall (metal roof trusses). I need to anchor the vertical reinforcing (#5) into the bond beam. ACI gives the developement length for a #5 as 24" (I only have the 16"). A hooked bar won't work due to constructability. I was thinking...
