Hi
Is there a way to show part count(linked to the assembly) in the draft drawing of a specific part?
For example lets say you have 10x of part B in the assembly, i would like 10 to show up(automatically) in the quantity cartridge in the draft file of part B.
(So i dont have to do it manually...
Any of you guys ME technologists?
Ive been an ME tech for about 6 years designing machines and i love it..but i would like to perfect myself and thinking of taking some extra course at Uni.(maybe some kinematics and some structural courses)

I have always used the "ultimate strength" of a material when i know the safety factor and the "yield strength" in other situations.(when i dont have the safety factor)
Is this accurate?(just having doubts after a debate i had with a fellow machine designer)

The other day i was designing two die cast parts that are supposed to slide into another,now i get to the part were i calculate my Fits.
Now i know all about Locational clearence fits,force fits etc.. and that you have to consider the fabrication process quality ie: milling...
Anyone know a trick to unbend tubes in solid edge?
I need to know the lenght of tube needed before bending.
Is there a program outhere that can do such calculations?
