I'm currently designing a lifting shackle to aid the recovery of a ROV, my problem is that I'd like to do some hand calculations to find the stresses in the shackle but I'm really not sure as to where to start.

Am I right in saying that when using dimensional analysis and using a 1/4 scale pipe for an air intake on a wind tunnel model that the mass flow rate will be exactly 1/4 of the full size when the air density, viscosity and velocity do not change?
