    Is there an SWPS out there from the AWS folks that details the welding of structural aluminum. I have found the one for 18-10 gauge aluminum but cannot find one any higher. This is probably a stupid question but in the Allowable joint design section of the SWPS's (B2.1-1-016-94 for instance)...

    Can someone tell me the difference between qualifiying a welder under aws d1.1 and the asme standards? Will an asme certification cover welders to work to designs that call out d1.1 as the welding spec or should the welder have both? Why do pre fab pipe practice coupons only come with 37 1/2...
