I'm having trouble finding out what code (ASME, AWS, SAE) applies to welding high pressure (6,000 psi) hydraulic tube assemblies. SAE J518 and ISO 6162 cover the flanges, but I haven't seen anything regarding weld requirements.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I've got a German drawing produced in the early '80s that specifies a few threaded holes as: M24 "b". Does the "b" indicate pitch? And if so, what pitch?
