Just installed 2017. While in sketch mode if I draw a circle, the shape fills in with grey color.
I'd like it to just show the outside line of the circle shape with no fill color. Is there a preference to turn off
that fill color. Thanks.
I used to be able to drag (adjust) a line in a sketch while not in an active sketch. (not referring to instant 2-D)
Anyone know of the preference that needs to be turned on to activate and allow that feature.

For about 6 months SWx has, at various times, been freezing during use. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason as
to when it will happen. I could be in part mode or assembly mode. For instance, I'll click on the button to complete
an extrude and the program will just freeze. The next step...
I had looked into buying a new monitor a while back and I'm finally getting around to doing it.
Are there any opinions about how these two compare.... the U2412 is 1900 x 1200 16:10 and the
U2414 is 1900 X 1080, 16:9.
I have a feeling the U2412 might be better for using SW, but just want to see...
I'm having a problem with the program freezing. This occurs at random times
and doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to when it's going to happen.
For instance I'll perform a simple extrude and things just seem to freeze up.
If I hit the left mouse button, the spinning tine wheel comes on...
Trying to mirror a body half.... and get a warning I've not seen before-
"REBUILD ERRORS-the feature does not fit inside the model size limits".
Any insight as to what this means?

I've been using a CRT monitor for a number of years and am looking to change to a flat screen to use with SW. I'm asking if people can make some recommendations that you are happy with. Thanks!
Every time an operation is performed the part document is auto rebuilding.
Is there a way to turn this off. I know "Verification on Rebuild" is for assembly
and that is turned off....but I am in part mode.

I started a new part and brought in 2 sketch pictures for front and side views to use as reference.
When I hit the front view button, the part winds up in the lower left hand corner
of the screen. All the planes wind up where they should be located in relation to

Has anyone used the Scan to 3D feature to convert OBJ files to solid models within Solidworks?
If so... how would you rate it.... does it work well? Looking for a way to convert OBJ files to

The toolbar (not really sure, actually, what it's called) all the way on the right side of the
screen that has the design library, Toolbox, SW resources, etc., is there a way to hide that?

Just upgraded to SW1014. A problem I'm having....When I go to the View Menu and click on HIDE ALL TYPES"
this causes the entire screen to minimize. Anyone else experiencing this? A real pain. Any fixes?

from SP0 in one shot....or do I need to go from SP0 to SP1 and then to

When I press on MMB with the intention of rotating the part
or an assembly, it rotates up to a point and then won't rotate further.
I was always able to rotate things 360 degrees on all axis. Is there
preference that, perhaps, I need to reset to get things to rotate all over? Thanks
Is the some preference to keep the feature tree from migrating (spreading out) into the graphics area when creating a feature?
