I did a quick search and found nothing.
I want to create a sub-assembly by selecting several parts in the browswer window. I thought it would be as easy as selecting the parts and "make new assembly from parts", but no luck so far. thanks.

I am a solidworks user test driving inventor 9 for comparison. I am having some difficulty manipulating multiple solid bodies in a single part. For instance if I imported an IGES connecting rod and needed to cut it half, spread the halves and extrude the gap to lengthen it. So far it seems I...
I just downloaded this physical dynamics demonstration for ACAD Inventor:
www.sdotson.com/graphics/video/toy.zip (10MB .avi file)
In it are great working examples of various dynamics, including a pulley/belt setup. I'm jealous. This has been discussed on this board before, and I have yet to find...
I am trying to find a better way to mate an object with planar sides into a slot with planar sides evenly spaced on each side. Up to now I have been having to measure the distances and use distance mates between the planar surfaces. Concentric does it easily with cylindrical objects. Is there a...
When I insert a sub-assembly containing a concentric and a coincident mate into an assembly, the mates no longer have motion functionality. However, when I insert each sub-assembly part individually into the assembly and apply the identical mates to the parts in the assembly, they work as...
I just recently added a Quadro4 900xgl to my system, running SW 2004, but RealView is still not available (shaded out). I know this card is supported. Any Ideas?
