I have a pattern drawn in a 2d sketch which I want to wrap into 3d. The problem is its a wire (defined as a line)and the wrap function can only deal with a closed contour/extrusion.
Can anyone help with this?

I want to sort an array by colunm 2 swopping the values of the whole row each time a sweep is made. for some reason it will sort the input array (given at the bottom) if i only want to swop the values in colum 2 but when i add the code to swop the other columns it gets mixed up. Any help...

Can anyone explain how to apply periodic boundary conditions to a unit cell model in Abaqus. I understand how the unit cell should deform but don't know how to apply the conditions. I think it should be done using the *equation keyword. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can't find a way to create unsorted node sets in CAE. It seems to automatically sort the node set numerically. This becomes a problem when using MPCs between two node sets. Any ideas on how to do it within CAE only?

I am using Abaqus CAE to model a composite material in 3d and need to apply periodic boundary conditions. In order to do this my mesh must be exactly the same on corresponding faces. Is there anyway of using CAE to ensure this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
