I was trying to figure-out how the pressures (both in the filterate receiver & the Nutsche itself) are controlled during the various stages of a filteration when using a liquid-ring compressor for subj.. Anyone with experience in this operation ?

We have a horizontal tank for storing phosphorous trichloride; a very hazardous chemical that allows for only top entry & so we use a submersible pump with mech. seal. The afore mentioned mech. seal however often fails. Are seal-less/magnetic drive submersible pumps available ? Some reputed...
In blowing the filter cake in our Nutsche filter with nitrogen significant quantities of solvent (Isopropanol)
are lost. Is there an established technology whereby both the gas & solvent can be recycled ?
In a batch process kettle with overhead condensors connected to single stage steam ejector for vacuum generation I would like to calculate how much xylene
(the only low boiler) would be lost from the reactor
at kettle vacuum of 150 mbar. & 110 deg. C. (ejector
side vacuum 0 mbar).

Presently we are using a 4" Vortex flowmeter that is generating high error which the manufacturer says is
due to oversizing of meter. The flow varies between
600 to 3000 Kg/hr.. Is there a meter that can cover
this range accurately ?
If the suction & discharge pressures are read-off from gauges located on a running centrifugal pump suction & discharge how is the power consumption calculated assuming the pump is pumping water & flow rate is known ?
