i looking for how amount the broaching force to cut 8.46dp, length of cut 3.4dp and 74 teeth
work material is carbon steel
the broaching pitch is about 0.5dp so the number of engaged teeth is more or less 7

i have to set a gear measuring machine with a fixed master disk (it seems a croix) of 187.400mm base diameter.
i found mod.3.62595 and number of teeth 55 to get in a prog and it run well.
so the profile control it's ok for spur gear.
now, with the same base diameter, number of teeth and helix...
.. of a gear with the gear in a hand?
once someone told me that there is formula that permetted
this.
for example for a gear with 24 teeth it sound like this:
mod = (W4 - W3)/ (z * sin pa)
this is a wrong formula but it is similar to the right one.
