I took two blocks (separate parts) and created an assembly file, and placed surface constraints to fuse the two boxes together.
Then I created a FEM from the assembly, which automatically takes the assembly and makes it become one part file.
With this part file which represented two blocks...
Why is it that after creating a mesh, previewing, and selecting "keep mesh", i cannot go into the mesh and modify it? All the boxes become grayed out. This occurs even if I do not have any solutions tied to the mesh.
Thanks
I want to do FEA on a part, seeing the stress on it if there is a delta Temperature of 100 deg C.
So let's say I will warm it from 0 C to 100 C.
How do I set this? In the boundary condition setup, there is a space that asks for the amplitude of my Temp. I assume I put 100 here?
But where do...
I am creating a part which needs to be partitioned into about 6 separate volumes (but still be considered ONE part).
I notice that if I don't create the features in a certain order, when I start to partition, I get errors.
Is there a certain convention about the order in which I create the...
