I have an app that uses a 24" cable with multiple connectors at different intervals on it. It carries a digital audio PCM bus and other signals. The PCM signals are only used on 6" of the cable, from there to the other end they are currently left floating. My question is should I terminate them...

I have always been told not to use one pull up/down resistor for more than one pin. Whether it is used for unused Input pins or multiple Enable pins. However I am starting to see it in some schematics.
Can anyone tell me why this shoudl not be done other than for ATE simplification?
Does anyone know where to get stickers/labels in the shape of and arrow or pointer to indicate a specific area of a PCB?
I did not see them at Avery or Digikey.
