I'm trying to design monitoring hardware (embedded system-type design) that can easily be used to detect faults on rotating electrical machinery--motors/generators. I intend to incorporate voltage/current signature analysis, possibly vibration, maybe even electromagnetic field monitoring...
Can anyone recommend a good source of a model for an electrical generator? As a mechanical engineer, I don't even know the right specs to post, but I'm looking for a Matlab/Simulink-type model that I can tweak to my specs, once I find them out.
